This includes collaborating with equipment manufacturers, technology companies and systems providers to develop applied programmes tied to the technologies actually used in the sector.
Research, development and innovation
The institute supports applied research and innovation related to capability development, training methods, safety, mining technologies, and needs and data analysis, in collaboration with academic, industrial and technology bodies, and in service of the sector's actual priorities.
Phased expansion model
The institute expands in phases over the coming years in line with the needs of the mining sector and the scale of its expected growth, so that new disciplines, programmes, laboratories, partnerships and training capabilities are added gradually, while delivery quality is maintained and every expansion is tied to a clear and measurable need.
